๐ฏ Colorworkapp Feature Roadmap โ These features are designed to make Colorworkapp the most powerful color analysis tool for traditional painters and artists. Each one builds on the existing Studio and Lab workflow. Tap any live feature to try it.
๐๏ธ Limited Palette Challenge
Let artists select 3-5 colors and see the image re-rendered using only those colors. Painters practice this to improve their mixing skills. The processImage function already does quantization โ restricting it to user-selected colors creates the ultimate painter's exercise.
๐ PLANNED๐ฑ Camera Color Picker (Live)
Use the device camera to pick colors from the real world in real-time โ scan a flower, a sunset, a fabric. Add those colors directly to your collected palette. No more guessing โ capture the exact colors from nature and your surroundings.
๐ PLANNED๐ Master Painting Reference
Let artists compare their image's palette against famous paintings by Vermeer, Monet, Rembrandt and more. "Your palette is closest to Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring." This is a unique educational feature no competitor has โ it connects your work to the great masters.
๐ PLANNED๐จ Paint Mix Suggestions โญ
When you tap a color in the palette or on the canvas, see which real paint colors from Winsor & Newton, Golden, and Liquitex can be mixed to achieve it. This is the #1 requested feature by traditional painters. Your app already extracts colors โ this adds a lookup layer showing exact matches! Get single-paint matches and two-color mixing recipes with ratios.
โ LIVE โ TAP TO TRY๐ Color Percentage Breakdown
Show the dominant color percentages as a bar chart or pie chart alongside the simplified image. "This painting is 42% warm ochre, 28% deep blue..." The extractPalette function already calculates weight per cluster โ this will display it visually, so you instantly understand your image's color distribution.
๐ COMING SOON๐๏ธ Color Blindness Simulator
Add a toggle to preview the image as seen by people with different types of color vision deficiency (protanopia, deuteranopia, tritanopia). Important for inclusive design and increasingly expected in professional color tools. See how ~8% of men and 0.5% of women experience your artwork.
